Sandy will be leading this overdue return to a fine Chilterns walk.

ROUTE

We will roughly follow this 11 mile route: https://www.walkingclub.org.uk/walk/saunderton-via-bledlow-circular/. A big possible shortcut cuts the walk to 6 miles but avoids a pub lunch option in Bledlow.

START

Saunderton station (HP14 4LJ, grid ref SU 815 985. Note this is not very close to Saunderton village).

Start time 10 am

LUNCH

Pub lunch at the Lions in Bledlow if there is sufficient interest. Otherwise there are a couple of suitable picnic spots in Bledlow.

There is also a decent pub near Saunderton station at the end of the walk, which may be useful if you have to wait for a train home (they are hourly).
