The Chilterns provided us with lots of opportunities to stretch our legs on this walk as we climbed and descended several slopes during the day. And with sunshine all day it was described by one Wallace and Gromit fan as ‘A Grand Day Out’.
We saw several Red Kites at close range – but luckily not when we stopped for lunch.

Other sightings included the Marlow Tibetan Stupas hidden in the woods at Marlow Bottom; the remains of a Hilltop Fort in another wood and many fungi.

Our walk was slightly longer than predicted ( 9.2miles) but we still managed to fit in a visit to Marlow’s Rebellion Brewery for a swift half (or 2) at the end of the day.
