Day walk – 11 August Puttenham Common & Elstead

Chris’ walk will start at 10.15 and is about 7.5 miles.
Meet in the large car park on the right at the TOP OF THE HILL, 1.25 miles south west of Puttenham on Suffield Lane. Please note it is very easy to shoot past the entrance to this car park.

We will have a mixture of beautiful views and woodland delights along the way. Please note though that there is thick undergrowth in a few places, so leg protection and/or insect repellent is advised.
Bring a picnic and we’ll stop for lunch at Elstead on the green outside the Woolpack pub.
Possible drink afterwards at The Cider House Inn at the start of Pepper Harrow Lane just south of Shackleford GU8 6AN.
