Day walk on 24 September – Ashdown Forest NOTE DATE CHANGE

This will be a hilly 9.5 mile walk in Ashdown Forest. Because of the August heatwave, Chris has wisely decided to reschedule it for September. It is in a central spot so you have some of the best views in all directions. It also takes you to the Ashdown Forest Visitor Centre. The walk has a variety of terrain, including dense woodland, streams and wide heathland. It is fine for wearing shorts. There will be stops for coffee/water, lunch, visitor centre and The Hatch pub 2(2 miles from the finish), so we are unlikely to finish until nearly 5 p m. Bring a picnic.
