Sunday 28 Jan 2024 – Day walk
January 28
Please join Sandy for the next day walk over Frensham Common and Kettlebury Hill (that’s the area with the Devil’s Jumps and Lion’s Mouth). It’s got coppiced woodland, open pine forest and heath “which would not be out of place in the Scottish highlands” and a possible village pub stop. Some of the route is on familiar ground but with a new approach this time. As it’s largely on sandy ground the going shouldn’t be too squelchy at this time of year.
Length – approx 9 miles
Start – NT car park at Frensham Little Pond, 10.30 am
Refreshments – none on route so bring a picnic, but a short diversion will bring us to the Barley Mow in Tilford in the afternoon
