DESCRIPTION:Killin at the southwest end of Loch Tay and on the edge of the Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve. Located in central Scotland\, this area is known for its stunning landscapes\, diverse flora\, and rich biodiversity.\n\nBen Lawers is the highest peak in the Ben Lawers nature reserve\, with the Ben Lawers range also including several other Munros\, such as Beinn Ghlas and An Stuc. There are many other different trails in the area providing options for all of the club

SUMMARY:June 12-19: Club Scottish holiday\, Glenshiel Lodge
DESCRIPTION:RESCHEDULED FROM 2020 – The Club is returning to Glenshiel Lodge (see website here) where we have had a couple of successful weeks in the past. We have had to move the booking again from 2021. Note this is a Sunday-Sunday booking. \nGlenshiel Lodge is just to the south of Shiel Bridge in Kintail\, literally in the shadow of the famous Saddle and Five Sisters of Kintail. There are 21 Munros in Glen Shiel no less\, and numerous other hills within striking distance\, not least those on the Isle of Skye. \nSorry this trip was FULLY BOOKED when it was planned for 2020; I will update this post if any places become available.

DESCRIPTION:Tony’s report: Our Scottish highlands trip this year was an excellent week in a roomy well-equipped ex-hotel.  Weather far better than last year\, good walking every day except one with gales\, and even that was good for low-level exploring.  Landscape not the most dramatic\, but many new Munros gained on some longish days.  Dry weather previously treated us to dried up bog and easy river crossings\n\n \nWe broke the mould this year with seven off us taking bikes to make the long hikes in more achievable.  This worked well so probably to be repeated\, probably with a more comfy saddle for Adrian……\n \nNice mix this year of communal cook-ins\, and some good food at the local hotel in Newtonmore.
