DESCRIPTION:Anne will be organising the October day walk which will be on Friday 21st. \nWe will be walking from Westcott along some of the less visited footpaths (to avoid too many bikers\, horses etc).  Approx 9 miles to take in the White Downs\, Abinger Roughs\, Abinger Common and Mad Horse Copse.  Wonderful Surrey countryside\, farmland and views without hitting the busiest locations.\n\nPlan for a picnic although we’ll pass some pubs on route.  Dog friendly.\n\nPlease use the comment form below get in touch about this walk.

SUMMARY:Day walk on 24 September - Ashdown Forest NOTE DATE CHANGE
DESCRIPTION:This will be a hilly 9.5 mile walk in Ashdown Forest. Because of the August heatwave\, Chris has wisely decided to reschedule it for September. It is in a central spot so you have some of the best views in all directions. It also takes you to the Ashdown Forest Visitor Centre. The walk has a variety of terrain\, including dense woodland\, streams and wide heathland. It is fine for wearing shorts. There will be stops for coffee/water\, lunch\, visitor centre and The Hatch pub 2(2 miles from the finish)\, so we are unlikely to finish until nearly 5 p m.
