DESCRIPTION:The day walk on Sunday 26th march is on Burnam beeches and Stoke common\, bring a packed lunch\, we will meet at 10 am. The distance is 10 miles of easy walking\, it is one of the Fancy free walks. \nWe will meet at the village of Fulmer post code SL3 6HD\, the parking is in Hay lane\, opposite the black horse pub\, parking is a bit limited as it is a residential road\, park far down the lane as possible. \nThere is a very nice pub at the village of Hedgerley\, the White horse\, that serves beer straight from the barrel\, and has a good selection of real ales.

DESCRIPTION:An 8-10 mile post-Christmas walk from Holmbury St Mary. Charmian is leading a walk along the Greensand Way to Leith Hill and then through woodland to Friday Street and back to the start point. The longer 10 mile option adds in Holmbury Hill. DESCRIPTION:This will be a hilly 9.5 mile walk in Ashdown Forest. Because of the August heatwave\, Chris has wisely decided to reschedule it for September. It is in a central spot so you have some of the best views in all directions. It also takes you to the Ashdown Forest Visitor Centre. The walk has a variety of terrain\, including dense woodland\, streams and wide heathland. It is fine for wearing shorts. There will be stops for coffee/water\, lunch\, visitor centre and The Hatch pub 2(2 miles from the finish)\, so we are unlikely to finish until nearly 5 p m. DESCRIPTION:RESCHEDULED FROM 2020 – The Club is returning to Glenshiel Lodge (see website here) where we have had a couple of successful weeks in the past. We have had to move the booking again from 2021. Note this is a Sunday-Sunday booking. \nGlenshiel Lodge is just to the south of Shiel Bridge in Kintail\, literally in the shadow of the famous Saddle and Five Sisters of Kintail. There are 21 Munros in Glen Shiel no less\, and numerous other hills within striking distance\, not least those on the Isle of Skye. \nSorry this trip was FULLY BOOKED when it was planned for 2020; I will update this post if any places become available.

DESCRIPTION:The visit here in March 2020 went so well that we have booked it again. \nThe venue is Carlswark Cottage in the village of Stoney Middleton\, near Baslow in the Peak district. Handily placed for great walks along the Froggatt\, Curbar and other edges and within striking distance of most of the Dark Peak. And a good pub just across the road.
