Various people who were on the Canary Islands trip gave me an account of it over a curry last night. I can report that the walking was excellent, including at least two walks from our accommodation on the north side of the island. This was quieter than the south but with less good weather as the group discovered when they ventured further afield into the sunshine. There was only one restaurant in the village so there were lots of cook-ins. It sounds like the advance party who visited Tenerife got a better result than those who went there in the rain at the end but they still got a view of the highest peak from the neighbouring extinct volcano.
