Tony and Sharon led a great walk from Rykers car park, using paths that we haven’t ventured on for some time.
We walked through Denby’s Vineyard to Ranmore Common with it’s stunning views in the sunshine. Then we continued past Tanner’s Hatch and Norbury Park. Lunch was in the woodlands by the Wildacoffee encampment. We opted out of toasting marshmallows and roasting chestnuts, but settled for hot chocolate and fresh coffees.
Then walked to Mickleham where we decided not to join wedding guests in the Running Horses pub and voted to extend the walk over to Box Hill, returning to Ryka’s café in time to see the start of women’s world cup rugby on the big screen.
