Saturday 17 October 2026 – Runnymede and Windsor Great Park

Roger C will be taking us on a gentle ramble around Runnymede and Windsor Great Park. The walk is a 7 mile circuit with plenty of interest and some fine views.

Meet in the National Trust (NT) Car Park at Runnymede      Grid Ref : 995 733 at 10 for a 10.15 start.

The car park is free for NT members and £7 for the day for non-members.  The cafe will be open from 9am for those who like an early coffee (or breakfast).

We’ll walk up through Coopers Hill woods to the Battle of Britain Memorial, then on to Windsor Great Park as far as the Copper Horse statue overlooking the Long Walk and the Castle.  On the way back to Runnymede we will pass (or more likely stop at) the Fox and Hounds pub.  And back to the NT cafe in time for tea!
