Those of us who arrived on Thursday night were driven off the hills by heavy rain on Friday but we had a very pleasant trip to Caernarfon in the afternoon, discovering a top curry house and a couple of good pubs. For most of the rest of the weekend the weather was great. Most people headed either for the Nantlle ridge or the hills to the east, where we reached the summit of Moel Hebog a bit later than I expected and got back to the hut at 7.30 to the delightful surprise that everyone else had been cooking a group meal while we were away. Bernadette was last seen packing her bike for a visit to Coed y Brenin while some of us headed up Snowdon, quite quiet on the ascent from Rhyd-ddu but we met hundreds on the summit including an Alpenhorn player. Thanks for a top weekend everyone.
