February meet at the Chester Mountain Club hut Pen Ceunant Uchaf located near the start of Snowdon’s Llanberis (tourist) Path, half a mile out of Llanberis. Comfortable hut, nice coal fire. Sleeping was on the loft floor a touch chilly.
Saturday. Chased horse from Chester hut grounds before walking Snowdon’s tourist path, sunny and easy going until the snow line, then crampons and mist near Clogwyn Station. Loads of people, no one wearing jeans or trainers on top but encountered on the way down. Descended the Snowdon Ranger Path to Foel Goch col then straight back along the contour path to Llanberis and a beer.
Sunday everyone did a short walk retracing the path to Foel Goch col then up and over to Moel Eilio and back to Llanberis. Attempted to remove a sheep from the Chester hut grounds but far too smart for us.
