10 members joined Charmian in Godden Green on her 8-11 mile walk in the Kentish hills and valleys surrounding these 3 fabulous country estates.
It might be Kent but she managed to find us a good few ups/downs as well as a lovely level-ish ‘balcony’ walk on the Greensand Way.
On route we saw some vibrant autumnal colours on the native trees and hedgerows, some far reaching views across the rolling landscape, herds of piebald or albino (white) deer and even some dog vomit slime mould (fuliga septica for the Latino’s )
Picnic lunch was held by the pond at beautiful Ightham Mote and a swift pint was enjoyed at the end point at the Bucks Head in Godden Green.
