Great Langdale April 2024

14 people headed north to Great Langdale for the club’s most recent Lake District meet, staying at the popular Robertson Lamb hut. And no doubt this hut will be even more popular now that we’ve experienced the refurbishments that the Wayfarers Club have undertaken.

The weather was kind to us and so many of the surrounding hills and fells were revisited including Rossett Pike, Esk Pike, Bowfell, Harrison Stickle, Pavey Ark and all along the tops.

Several people reacquainted themselves with Jack’s Rake, whilst others had the thrill of climbing it for the first time – with lots of smiles at the top….. and in the Old ( and New) Dungeon Ghyll(s) afterwards.

A small group even managed to navigate Lingmore Fell and on to Elterwater in search of a cream tea/ ice cream. And this was followed back at the hut with a very convivial ‘cook in’.
