Winter sun, heaths, hills and beer

Tony writes: thanks to Sandy for an excellent sunny day walk on a January day that could have been in March.

With drama soon after leaving the car park, Paul had to dive (well, reach) in to Frensham Little Pond to haul out someone’s little dog that was in danger of heading down the sluice.

Passing through the heathland of the Flashes we remembered Wally at one of his old haunts, on the Devil’s Jumps.  

Following far reaching views from Kettlebury Hill over the location for the filming of Skyfall, we descended to the Atlantic Wall and its unusual ecosystem.

The day was rounded off thanks to Bernadette’s local knowledge of the Farnham Brewing Company’s lovely little taproom, hidden away behind the preserved Pierrepoint farm.
