OK you can’t tell from the picture of the hut, but it was a triumph over the grim weather that all 11 attendees from the NKHC and STMC climbed Ingleborough or Whernside on Saturday. High winds kept us off the tops on Sunday but we had a better day of it around Austwick and Malham. We also visited some excellent pubs, with Saturday’s dinner at the Game Cock in Austwick a highlight, and having not been to this hut before, I’d rate it a bit of a find.
