A good turnout on the January Lakes trip to Stair, shared with the STMC, saw us making the best of some overcast weather around the Newlands Valley and Coledale [more challenging than that on the Coledale horseshoe on Saturday – ed]. Thanks to our illustrious founder’s haggis-hunting skills we did justice to Burns night with a cook-in on the Saturday. Those who stayed till Monday were rewarded with a real contrast, bright sun and some snow on the tops.
