Chris’  walk starts at the big free village car park just beyond The Red Lion pub and adjacent to the cricket pavilion.

This walk, south of Haslemere, has been chosen partly because it offers plenty of shade. There is the Red Lion to visit at the end, but nowhere else for refreshments en route, so bring a picnic and plenty of water.

The walk, whilst not being difficult, does have some steep slopes up and down.

There are a few small but very muddy patches, few stiles, quite a lot of long vegetation on some of the paths and some brambles.
